Shifts - how, what, why
You have probably noticed your wolf dreams. Your suddenly a wolf running through the forest and howling with your pack. Well when your human body goes to sleep, you dream...but you can also shift. To shift means your mind transfers (goes from) your human body to your wolf body. Its simple, one mind, two bodys. When you sleep, your mind can transfer and somewhere else in the world your wolf wakes up.
Some people are very in control of their shifts, they can go to sleep and shift if they want too in a few seconds. However others find it hard to shift, they can wait half asleep in bed for hours untill they can start to see the forest around them. If your like this then visit the 'Cures' page for some help. Some people find they cant controll their shifts, they just do it involentarily, one miniute they are asleep dreaming and the next they find themselves standing in the forest. This can be very dangerous, if you shift while your still awake, then you simply faint. There is other types of shifts that i will explain below-
We are going to split the shifting types into some catogories to make things easyer -
Class 1 shift - A controlled shift that you yourself have chosen to do.
Class 2 shift - A shift that is very hard to make and possibly reverse.
Class 3 shift - A shift that happened involentarily, you did not expect/want to shift.
Most people are usually a particular class, i for example am usually a Class 1 shifter.
Some other, rarer shifts-
Phantom - A shift that happnes to your body but doesnt actually occur. You may see parts of your body or feel parts of your body as a wolf but they are not actually there.
Dreamweaver - You may be in a dream and suddenly your not human but wolf. This is just your wolfy mind and habbits messing with your dreams. Its just your imagination.
